Get to know the province of Alicante

The province of Alicante can be found in the east of the Iberian Peninsula, in an area which is bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, also known as the Costa Blanca. Together with Valencia and Castellon, Alicante forms the autonomous region Comunidad Valenciana.

Alicante is a prosperous area which, due to its economic diversity, has become the fourth province in Spain regarding contributions to the GDP (Gross Domestic Product).

It stands out due to the quality and appeal of its international tourism in emblematic centres such as Benidorm, Torrevieja or Denia.

Another of the pillars of its economy is the footwear industry, a national leader and a worldwide reference point in footwear production, to which an important textile sector and one of the highest concentrations of toy manufacturers in Europe can be added. Modern agriculture dedicated to exportation rounds off an economic panorama with a very solid base.
